Originally from Saskatoon, Toronto-based dance artist Linnea Swan has performed with many of Canada’s leading dance companies and artists including Ruth Cansfield Dance, TRIP dance company, Dancemakers, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers, Serge Bennathan, Rachel Browne, Susie Burpee, Lesandra Dodson, Susanna Hood, D.A. Hoskins and Claudia Moore. She is a member of The Exchange Rate Collective, whose interdisciplinary collaborative creation Appetite was nominated for 6 Dora Mavor Moore awards. She is featured in the Bravo!FACT videos Slip, Sahara Sahara, and Vaudeville!. A budding filmmaker herself, her films have been featured in the work of Kate Hilliard and Lesandra Dodson. She just returned from a tour of Human Cargo Theatre’s Night, which premiered at the NAC in Ottawa, followed by performances in Inuvik, Yellowknife, and Whitehorse.
As a rehearsal director, she has worked with The Dietrich Group, Paul Andre Fortier for TRIP dance company, and Rachel Browne.
