Brodie Stevenson was born in the small village of Wuikinuxv on British Columbia’s central coast.
Stevenson was a company member of Toronto Dance Theatre from 2008 – 2014 where he created original roles in works by Artistic Director Christopher House and also performed for guest choreographers such as Lina Cruz, Etienne Guilloteau, Deborah Hay and Heidi Strauss.
Independently, Stevenson has had the immense pleasure of working with many notable choreographers including Julia Aplin, Peggy Baker, D.A Hoskins and Sasha Ivanochko. Since 2008 he has been touring across Canada with Dusk Dances as a member of its core ensemble. In 2008 Stevenson also co-founded Throwdown Collective and has co-created three outdoor pieces for Dusk Dances to critical acclaim. With Throwdown Collective, Stevenson is currently producing a new full – length piece for the stage for 2016.
Stevenson currently serves as the Chair of the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists – Ontario Chapter.
